Network access in the distribution area

This part contains comprehensive information on third-party network access and capacity management in the Austrian distribution areas.

AGGM allocates capacity in a non-discriminatory manner. AGGM receives applications for access to distribution network entry-exit points from consumers, storage system operators and gas producers via the system operators concerned. System users can book capacity at cross-border interconnection points in the Eastern distribution area online, via our partners’ portal.

Since 1.10.2013 AGGM also provides Exit capacities out of the German transmission network, which allows barrier free access to the market area Connect Germany (NCG) for the gas clients in Tyrol and Vorarlberg.

When assessing applications for third-party network access, AGGM applies the same data and processes used to assess capacity when drawing up long-term plans.

The network access statistics show the number of final consumers that gained system access and the number of final customers where AGGM got a notice of removal.
